FrontierVille Playtime! Timed Mission: Everything you need to know

If you're not too bogged down in Winter missions in FrontierVille, you'll want to take a few seconds to complete the new Timed Mission that was released today in the game. This newest mission is called simply "Playtime!" and it will reward you with a handful of new goodies if you can complete it within two days of accepting it.

The Playtime! Mission will have you building playground equipment for your children, and must be accepted before December 31, but after reading this set of requirements, we doubt that you'll want to wait that long to jump in and (probably easily) finish the quests. Playtime! can be completed after finishing three parts:

Have or Craft 20 Planks
Get Ten Bags of Playground Sand
Collect Ten Scrap Metal Pieces

First and foremost, the Planks can be crafted inside of the wagon. Many high level players will likely already have these 20 Planks as extras on-hand, but if you don't, you can create a single Plank for 7 pieces of Wood and 250 coins.

As for the Playground Sand and Scrap Metal Pieces, you'll need to ask friends to earn these items. The Playground Sand is earned through individual gift requests via friends, as clicking on the "Ask Friends" button takes you to a reverse of the game's free gifts page, where you can send an individual request to all of the friends that you think would help.

Finally, the Scrap Metal pieces are earned through a generic wall post, that can be claimed by a limited number of people before running out, and requiring that you have to ask again. These are the more difficult of the two items to earn, as there is a possibility that your friends could ignore the request entirely or simply overlook it. With two days to complete the entire mission, you'll want to keep a sharp eye on how many Scrap Metal pieces you have at any one time, and always request for more if the game allows you.

The rewards for finishing the Playtime! quest are a Monkey Bars decoration, 1 Dinner energy item, and 500 XP. Considering the ease with which most players will finish this mission, the 500 XP seems like more than enough to make the quest worthwhile. Furthermore, you can sell the Monkey Bars for 600 coins, if you don't want them, or already have a set, so that should help pay you back for a few of the Planks that you may or may not have had to create to finish the mission.
